Does Sugar Feed Cancer? Hidden Names for Sugar list.

I have read numerous articles on this question, and there are many sides to the story.  My personal belief is cancer cells feed on sugar, grains work hand in hand with the sugar and create inflammation, which then taxes your immune system and leaves you open to disease.

My opinion is we need to stop eating all refined carbohydrates—white sugar, white flour, (all those yummy cakes and cookies you buy in the grocery store containing a laundry list of chemicals and preservatives along with high fructose corn syrup and other hidden sugars), soft drinks and sugar laden fruit juices.

There is so much written on the Integrative medicine side about sugar and cancer.  Still, many main stream facilities/doctors don’t agree.  But it seems they all suggest you eat a healthy diet of fruits and vegetables and exercise.  They say that obesity increases your risk of many types of cancer. So, get off the American diet of processed foods, refined sugars, fried foods in rancid oils and get onto an organic (if you can afford it) Vegetarian diet, Mediterranean diet or one that incorporates lots of fresh vegetables and fruits.  There are so many healthy eating plans out there, and picking one you will stick to, will add better health to your life.  Just get off the processed packaged foods laden with hidden sugar, bad fats, preservatives and chemicals.  Read your labels.  I refuse to purchase anything that isn’t just food in the ingredient list.

Featured is my sweet treat I call “Banana Sushi.”  This version is made from 1 small organic banana, organic strawberries and nut butter. Sometimes I use organic raw almonds or walnuts instead of the berries. Try using 85% dark chocolate on it.  Easy and a healthy snack when you feel the need for a treat.  There are so many ways to indulge without the processed sugars, or bad ingredients.  Just be careful and always do it in moderation.
